Factors affecting a student's eligibility include, but are not limited to, a family's income, size of the family, number of siblings in college, the cost of education leading up to college, and family assets. Latest on the FAFSA and Notre Dame's Response
Information for incoming undergraduate students and families
- Students who have completed their financial aid application should have received a Financial Aid Offer from Notre Dame. Despite issues with the FAFSA, we anticipate that the total amount of financial aid assistance you have been offered will remain the same.
- The University of Notre Dame uses the CSS Profile in addition to the FAFSA, so admitted students have been provided financial aid offers promptly and unaffected by the FAFSA delay.
- If you are an admitted student and have completed the CSS Profile yet not received a Financial Aid Offer, please check the financial aid tab in your applicant status portal. There might be outstanding documents that require your attention.
- Once the University receives your FAFSA, your federal aid eligibility will be verified and an updated financial aid offer will be provided.
- Please continue to monitor your email for additional communications from Notre Dame’s Office of Financial Aid and check the Federal Student Aid to stay up to date.
